Church Organ Project
In June 2003, I was asked to join organist Theo Visser in concert at the Hooglandse church in Leiden, the Netherlands. This caused me to frequently visit churches, which eventually resulted in recordings for two CD's commissioned by the foundation ‘Het Orgelpark’ in the Nicolai church in Utrecht.
In November 2009 the Trio Windstreken recorded a new CD with some renowned guest-musicians: Oene van Geel, Kamal Hors and Jörg Brinkmann. The new CD is to come out in spring 2010

Please visit "www.windstreken.com" for all information on this church organ project.

Synergy group cross culture

Meanwhile, the inspirational cooperation with Sandip Bhattacharya has led to the formation of a new trio. Together with ud (Arabic lute) player Kamal Hors, we form the ‘Synergy Group - Cross Culture’. In this trio, musicians from three different cultures form an organic unit.

Education
Since ’93, I have been a teacher at the Leiden and Environs School of Music. In 2005, I also gave a number of guest lessons at the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music. Together with the Amstelveen School of Music and the venue P60, I have organized jazz sessions for several years. At these sessions, young and very young jazz talents are given the chance to jam with a professional band. In September 2005, I started to give private lessons. There still are openings available for somewhat advanced students. The options are:
  1. Flute – classical
  2. Saxophone and/or flute – jazz / pop / world music
  3. Music theory
  4. Improvisation for various instruments
