PIETER DE MAST 5

Five musicians, who have the talent of transforming influences of jazz, world, and classical music into a unique sound of their own. Their music is sometimes rhythmical and intense, and at other times as subtle and intimate as chamber music. This remarkable group mainly plays its own work: compositions by the flutist/saxophone player Pieter de Mast and guitar player Andreas Suntrop. Their CD’s “TRACING” (2000) and “VISTA” (2003) were received with much enthusiasm, and can be listened to regularly on the radio. Each performance of this group is a special event due to the exceptional skills and talent of the musicians. They played on many well-known jazz stages in The Netherlands (including the “North sea jazzfestival” ), Belgium and Germany.
